Drought 2007
We've come through several droughts in the past decade, but none quite so severe as this. It encompasses all the states in the southeastern United States. Several states have even gone to court to decide who is able to control the water that flows through them both. (Florida and Georgia) The city of Atlanta has even stated their water supply will only last about 2 months more unless something drastic is done or the rains come soon. Unfortunately, the U.S. Weather Service is predicting a severs shortage of rain until February 2008 at the earliest. Right now the Rock Hill, South Carolina area is about 14 to 16 inches behind in the usual annual rainfall.
