RIDING THE HORSES AT LATTA PLANTATION
As a special treat today Julie, Dane and Janice took the grandchildren along with grandma and grandpa, to Latta Plantation, a special park for horses and riders just a little south of Huntersville, NC. Last month the children went to a horse show but this time they actually got to ride the horses. Even the very smallest ones (Jacob and Ally) got to ride cute little ponies. They were about the smallest ponies I've ever seen. The bigger kids really took to it like old pros. After a few quick pointers by the instructors they were riding their horses around like real cowboys. Grandma and Grandpa just watched and took lots of pictures. It was a good time for everybody.

Hey lady, can this thing go any faster?
It gets lonely out here on the ranch riding fences all day.
Are you sure this is a good idea, Mom?
OK, but just tell the horsey, "Don't move!"
Hey lady, which way to the OK Corral?
Matthew looks like he was born in the saddle.
Hey Mike! This means turn this way.
Riding on Grandpa's scooter is almost as much fun as riding the horses.
Come on, Grandma. Get your horse and join us!
