We had a really wonderful Christmas!  All the children and grandchildren were able to be here except for Mark and Thea in Rhode Island. We missed them so much, but at least they were together and happy.  We shared fun times together and all ate way too much. Our dinners were beyond compare and the sweets just kept on flowing. It really was a wonderful time together and Grandpa Glen was still with us and feeling pretty good. God is so good to us and we thank Him so much for such loving and sweet children and grandchildren. Hope you will enjoy this little snapshot of our family Christmas.

And what would Christmas be without a Nativity Scene enactment?
Scripture narrated by Mathew and Jacob
An angel (Robyn) announces Jesus' birth to Mary
Joseph (Scott) and Mary (Ally) journey to Bethlehem for the Birth of Jesus
There was no room in the inn. Mary and Joseph stayed in a stable. As the angel watched over them the Christ Child  was born.
Mary (Ally) held the Baby Jesus (baby doll) tenderly and pondered all these things in her heart.
As the shepherds in the field (the rest of us) watched, the angels (Paige & Eleanor) sang "Silent Night"
And then we exchange Christmas gifts
Paige watching over her "stuff"
Scott getting all excited
Hey! This is great. What do you do with it?
Waiting for our name to be called.
I guess we'll have to get one of the children to show us how this thing works.
Ahhh -  the sounds of Christmas - ripping paper and tearing pasteboard, with an occasional ,"Hey, look what I've got!!"
Dane & Julie - No matter how tired the parents get,  the children make it all worthwhile!
Our newest family member,  Lee, with Janice
It's been a great Christmas, but always remember, "Jesus is the reason for the season."
